As part of Queer History Club we are thrilled to welcome George Severs and Mick Ward to talk about AIDS Activism in Late 20th-Century England.

George Severs is a Postdoctoral Researcher on project 'Race and Sexual and Reproductive Health Charities in postwar Britain'. His recently published book, Radical Acts, reconstructs and discusses the overlooked world of radical AIDS activism in England.

Mick Ward is co-founder of the AIDS activist group ACT UP Leeds. They organised actions, demonstrations and protests through the late 1980s and early 90s.

George and Mick will be in conversation plus George will also sign copies of his book, Radical Acts which will be available to purchase at the event.
