An LGBTQIA+ community bookshop in the heart of Leeds

We're proud to be more than just a store; The Bookish Type is an active part of the queer community in Leeds, and we have been since we were founded in 2019! Back then, we were a touring market stall bringing LGBTQIA+ books to fairs and markets around Yorkshire. Now we've got our own store, and it's the only bookshop in the whole of England to be owned by a trans woman! Why not come and visit?
