Queering Love Zine Workshop

Join Orange for a workshop about the feeling you get when you look at your cat sleeping and you know that you would lay down your life for them (and that they would probably let you and that that's okay). The rushing heart-beating feeling you get when two of your favourite people on the planet both show up to the same queer Muay Thai class and you weren't sure if either of them were coming. The feeling you get when a housemate knocks gently on your bedroom door and says “shall we get takeaway tonight?”

This is the love that we rarely see in books and that we always see every day around ourselves and this is the love I want to talk about. We are going to be looking at all love today and (after some conversations) make a zine about a niche kind of queer love.

Suggestions of things to bring to the workshop:

Pictures of your pets, your favourite and best writing pen, pictures of your friends and chosen family, write down and bring a (short) favourite memory you have.

All zine making materials provided.

Tickets are on a sliding scale (£6 / £8)
Please be honest about your financial situation when selecting what to pay for your ticket.

Access Info

The shop has an 8cm step but we have a ramp we can put in place if required.
There is a downstairs bathroom with toilet and hand basin.
Workshop is seated round a long table with chairs that are armless with padded seats and backs.
Face masks are encouraged but not required; an H13 HEPA  air purifier will be in use. 
On street parking available (charges may apply).
