Two icons of the underground, Holly got her start as the supporting actress in Paul Morissey’s TRASH alongside the lead Joe, who started out years earlier as a model for nudie gay magazines. They both quickly got sucked into New York’s glamorous appeal and rich opportunity and became superstars. This pair was immortalized in Lou Reed’s Walk on the Wild Side.
