Join Dr Eli Erlick and our resident historian Kit Heyam for evening of queer history from across the eras!

We'll be spending a wonderful evening sharing current research obsessions, creative projects and learning from each other. You will be able to present on whatever you like too! Please simply email thebookishtypeleeds@gmail.com to confirm you want to present! Snacks and soft drinks will be provided on the night but feel free to bring along whatever you please (as long as it is not alcoholic). It will be a splendid evening of making new friends and learning about queer history !

Dr Eli Erlick (she/her) is a speaker, organiser, researcher, author and trans historian based in New York City

Kit Heyam (he/they) is a Leeds-based heritage practitioner, trans awareness trainer, academic and author of Before We Were Trans.

Access Info

The shop has an 8cm step but we have a ramp we can put in place if required.
There is a downstairs bathroom with toilet and hand basin.
There is a range of seating including chairs that are armless with padded seats and backs, armless sofa, bench with cushions.
Face masks are encouraged but not required; an H13 HEPA air purifier will be in use.
On street parking available (charges may apply).
