Wreath Making Workshop

Create gorgeous natural floral wreaths with the help of our very own Liza!

In this workshop, you will be encouraged to slow down, work with your hands, and engage with natural materials in a mindful & creative way. Whether you're completely new to making, or already love crafting, you will find a warm and welcoming space to play, create, and connect: all within the wonderfully chill atmosphere of The Bookish Type. You will learn which materials are the best to use for creating more wreaths in the future, so you can continue making your own creations at home. 

Materials provided, but please feel free to do your own foraging and bring some foliage with you if you wish!

Facilitator: Liza (They/Them) is a Leeds based artist & part of the new crew here at The Bookish Type. Liza works primarily with clay but loves to explore a variety of mediums. They are a strong believer in the healing power of connecting with nature and that art can be a beautiful way of exploring that connection.

Tickets are on a sliding scale (£5 / £3 / £0 )
Please be honest about your financial situation when selecting what to pay for your ticket. If you purchase a ticket at the lowest end of the scale when you could afford the higher ticket prices, it makes it harder for us to provide financial flexibility to those who most need it.

Access Info

The shop has an 8cm step but we have a ramp we can put in place if required.
There is a downstairs bathroom with toilet and hand basin.
There is a range of seating including chairs that are armless with padded seats and backs, armless sofa, bench with cushions.
Face masks are encouraged but not required; an H13 HEPA  air purifier will be in use. 
On street parking available (charges may apply).
